Owning Your Health: From Motherhood to Menopause

Renee K Sundstrom, DO is an OB/Gyn at Covenant Healthcare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University.  She is a faculty physician and residency program director.  She graduated from medical school at the A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Medicine in 1991, completed a rotating internship at Metropolitan Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri and her residency at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. 

Dr. Sundstrom was in private practice for over 10 years before joining the academic faculty at what is now the College of Medicine in 2008.  She teaches and trains OB/Gyn residents and medical students in both the clinical and classroom settings. 

Having a career-long interest in menopausal medicine culminated in her becoming a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner.  She is excited to see this population of women and their issues surrounding menopause gain the attention they deserve!

She has lived and worked in the Great Lakes Bay area for almost 30 years and is proud to call this area “home”.  She has a daughter starting her senior year at Michigan State University (Go Green!) and in her spare time enjoys spending time at her cabin in northern Michigan, golfing, and spending time with friends and family dining and shopping in the area.
