Cherina Johnson

I was born, raised, and resides in Saginaw, Michigan. A product of Saginaw Public Schools where she excelled academically and athletically. Later earned an Associate of Arts degrees in both social work and business studies from Delta College in University Center, Michigan, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks in Fairbanks, Alaska, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Davenport University in Midland, Michigan. I am married to my loving, caring, and supportive husband, Oliver.

My husband and I became the new owners of Upstairs Resale Shop, which had been in operation for over 30 years, in March of 2018. After operating the business as a storefront for two years, we made a wise decision to forego renewing the lease in the building that the business was located in. Unknowingly to us, two weeks later the Covid-19 pandemic would publicly hit the world stage causing all kind of havoc and devastation, but GOD protected us and spared us from the challenges of keeping a storefront afloat and thriving during the pandemic era. Therefore, we seize the moment and made a pivot to being a pop-up store, because it gave us the opportunity to bring our store to the customers; as well as, the flexibility and liberty to participate in different events throughout the community, which was important to us.

We believe in offering quality merchandise at a reasonable price to our customers. Our goal is to offer unique, handmade, custom, gently used, vintage, and new products that helps you to stand out from the crowd, represent your personal style, to encourage and inspire you, as well as extend to you excellent customer service that causes you to have a pleasurable shopping experience.
